Salary: Starting salary of £48,000 per annum, increasing to £52,000 per annum based on performance, progression, and successful completion of development milestones.

Additional Compensation: Performance-related bonuses and incentive schemes are available, with realistic total earning potential reaching approximately £60,000+ per annum, depending on individual performance and progression within the role.

This position is particularly suited to candidates with a strong analytical mindset, an interest in global financial markets, and an understanding of investment principles, risk management, and financial regulation. Exposure to areas such as portfolio construction, asset allocation, and market analysis will be highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the research and analysis of global financial markets, including equities, fixed income, and alternative investments.
  • Support senior investment professionals in the development, implementation, and optimisation of investment strategies.
  • Contribute to the preparation of investment reports, portfolio updates, and presentations for internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, macroeconomic developments, and investment opportunities.
  • Assist in the monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of portfolio performance across multiple asset classes.
  • Work collaboratively with teams across risk management, compliance, trading, and operations to support investment processes.
  • Support data collection and financial modelling activities to aid investment decision-making.
  • Maintain awareness of global market developments, economic indicators, and regulatory changes affecting investment activities.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training to build technical investment knowledge and industry expertise.

Requirements:

  • A recent graduate with a 2:1 or higher in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, Accounting, or a related analytical degree from a reputable university.
  • Level 4 Investment Advisor Certification, either completed or actively working towards is a mandatory requirement as you will be required to carry out regulated activities throughout the role.
  • Strong interest in global financial markets, investment management, and portfolio construction.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and market trends.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of investment principles, risk, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and confidently.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a high-performing team.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn, develop, and progress within the investment industry.
  • Familiarity with financial modelling, Excel, or data analysis tools is beneficial but not essential.
